What is Counselling:

Counselling is a form of ‘talk therapy’. It is a process where an individual, couple or family meet with a trained professional counsellor to talk about issues and problems that they are facing in their lives. It is a skilled ethical relationship which enables clients address difficulties in their lives in a safe, professional and confidential environment.

The counsellor’s role is not to tell the client what to do but to help clients develop their own resources and to work towards personal growth.

Who is counselling for:-

Counselling can be useful for anyone seeking help with significant life problems. If you are experiencing distress in your current life situation & are looking to find ways to adapt or change, then counselling may be of assistance.

Confidentiality:

Confidentiality is essential in the counselling relationship. We give our assurance that everything discussed in counselling is confidential to this service. Exceptions to this assurance are rare and only occur in extreme situations, for example, where it is deemed that someone poses a serious threat to themselves or others or where a child might be at risk of harm or in the event of a court order.
